CBSE 12 Board Exams cancelled: decision taken after PM Narendra Modi chair crucial meeting

On Tuesday, PM Narendra Modi chaired high-level review meeting regarding the CBSE Class 12 Board exams. After presenting all stakeholders and state governments opinions and suggestions, a solution was passes of not conducting class 12th Board examination.  Central Board of Secondary Education, CBSE Class 12 Board Examinations 2021 have been cancelled, citing the possibilities of unprecedented COVID-19 third wave outbreak.

As per the evolution of the results of the students, a decision was passed of CBSE to compile the results of class XII students as per a well-defined objective criteria in a time-bound manner. PM Modi said “Class XII results will be made as per well-defined objective criteria in a time-bound manner.”

PM Narendra Modi made the announcement of cancellation of board examinations, after chairing the high level meeting, stating the decision on Class 12 CBSE Exams has been taken in the interest of students. He said, putting the lives at risk of youth for such examinations, is no reason worth in today’s time. “The health and safety of our students is of utmost importance and there would be no compromise on this aspect,” he added.
