If you are a student of Zambia, you are likely to have heard of the name Daniel Kwasi Chipilula. Kwasi’s family has been involved in education and business for generations in Zambia.

His grandfather was an official in the Trade and Industry Ministry, whose photographs can be found all over the house, as well as on bulletin boards.

His father was a principal of a secondary school and his mother had a wedding cake business.

From humble beginnings, Kwasi graduated from University of Zambia with an MSc in Economics and Management, before securing a post at the Bank of Zambia.

As he gained new business experience, he wanted to share his experiences with the rest of the continent. So he founded Zambia Dairies (a joint venture with Kenya’s Cooperative Bank). He is now an independent businessman.

Kwasi is currently the vice-president of Zambia Dairies and a Business Icon.
